Community Description: | The Magnificent Seven, The Magnificent Seven (2016) |
ROSE CREEK is a fandom community for Antoine Fuqua's 2016 remake of The Magnificent Seven, welcoming fanfiction, fanart, podfic, historical resources, RPF, and all other similar fannish content.
RULES
1. DON'T BE A DICK. You'll get warned twice for bad behavior, which includes but is not limited to: trolling, harassing other community members, and kink-shaming. Three strikes and you'll be banned from the comm.
2. MAKE SURE YOUR WORKS ARE APPROPRIATELY TAGGED. As a community that welcomes content of all stripes, please be sure to abide by standard archive warning practices when tagging works which may be upsetting to persons caught unawares.
3. STAY ON TOPIC. This is a Magnificent Seven fandom community, and as such any post made in this community needs to relate to The Magnificent Seven or a historical aspect thereof. RPF is also welcome, but please remember that Rose Creek is not an actor-specific fanblog and keep the meta content re: the actors limited.
POSTING GUIDELINES
Subject Lines
When posting to
rosecreek, your subject bar should be ordered like so:
Tagging Posts
Please do not tag your own posts. Community moderator(s) are tasked with tagging posts to maintain a tidy tag system.
Fanfiction
When posting fanfiction directly to the community, please ensure that you post the body of the fic behind a cut tag. Also, make sure to use an appropriate header, like the one provided below:
[Note: So long as all relevant information is present and in the correct order, you don't have to C/P the exact header labels. See below examples for reference.]
Fanart
Any fanart posted directly to the community should likewise be shared behind a cut tag. There is no required header for fanart, so long as your subject line is appropriately descriptive, though you are welcome to write as much of a blurb/artist's note as you'd like.
Reference Materials, Reviews, & Meta
As a historical fiction fandom, we welcome any and all references—be they books, websites, documentaries, etc.—that might lend a hand in creating a more accurate picture of the time period when The Magnificent Seven took place. [Note: We do not require that any fanwork submitted to the community be historically accurate, this is simply for those fan creators who prefer to aim for such.] Additionally, we welcome an resources that might aid in screen-rightness, such as costume guides or walkthroughs of deleted scenes. Likewise, we encourage members to explore the material however they see fit—digging into detailed head-canons, discussing fanon issues, compiling character guides, or reviewing similar material that might better inform the fandom understanding of the source media.
All we ask is that in the course of these exciting explorations, you ensure that you place anything you would consider a spoiler behind a cut tag out of respect for other community members.
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to reach out to community moderator

Special thanks to TheSummoningDark for letting me use her fic as a sample.
